What’s changing

What’s changing | Department of Revenue | City of Philadelphia

The City of Philadelphia Department of Revenue sent out a letter to all businesses to notify them that they were assigned a new Wage Tax Identification number. We have attached an example of the letter you should have received that informs you of this change.

See sample letter from Philadelphia highlighting the information needed to complete the task.

If you did not receive the letter you can go to the Philadelphia Tax Center to find your new number. Your BIRT account and your Wage Tax account will both have your new number after you log in.

Because PTC will no longer take payments on its previous website or over the phone, all taxes must be paid electronically going forward.

All Simplifi Payroll clients are required to provide Simplifi with their new Wage Tax ID Number to ensure their payroll continues without interruption.

Simplifi must receive a copy of the letter mentioned above before January 14, 2022.

Just scan the document and email the copy to info@simplifipayroll.com or fax to (215) 437-7144.
